China's trade with BRI countries, regions crosses $6t

China has made significant achievements with the countries and regions involved in the Belt and Road Initiative in the past five years after the initiative was proposed. The total trade volumes between China and the countries and regions involved in the Belt and Road Initiative has exceeded $6 trillion, NDRC official said.
China has signed 171 cooperation documents with 29 international organizations and 123 countries, including developed and developing countries, said Ning Jizhe, vice-chairmen of NDRC, at a press conference on the sidelines of the ongoing two sessions on Wednesday morning.
By the end of February, China-Europe freight trains, considered a significant part of the Belt and Road Initiative, have made 14,000 trips.
"We will continue to strengthen the communications with the countries and regions involved in the Belt and Road Initiative, in terms of the constructions of railways, roads and airports. We will also strengthen the connections with them, in terms of policies, rules and standards and build a data silk road," Ning said.
