Cannavaro quits China's coaching spot

BEIJING -- Fabio Cannavaro quitted the coaching spot of China's national soccer team, the Italian announced in his social media on Sunday's night.
The current Guangzhou Evergrande's coach took over Team China and led the team to participate the China Cup last month, but he rejected to disclose his future in this team after the tournament until the end of April.
"Due to the respect to China, I feel it is necessary to announce that I decided to quit the coaching spot of Team China," he wrote.
The 45-year old expressed gratitude to China Football Association and Guangzhou Evergrande club who expected him to steer national team and club simultaneously, but he still refused the propose for family reason.
Cannavaro revealed that he had told his idea to club one month ago that he wanted to pay all attention to the club side and lead the team to a good performance in all competitions.
And the former captain of Azzurri also wished Team China good luck in the upcoming qualification of Qatar World Cup.
