Chinese shares close lower Monday

BEIJING - Chinese stocks closed lower on Monday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.49 percent, at 3,391.76 points.
The Shenzhen Component Index closed 0.15 percent lower at 13,670.11 points.
The ChiNext Index, tracking China's NASDAQ-style board of growth enterprises, gained 0.49 percent to close at 2,631.89 points Monday.
