A decade through the lens: Photographer trains lens on PLA Air Force

Editor's note: To mark the convening of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, China Daily has selected 10 sets of photo stories that illustrate various aspects of the country's development during the past decade. The photos, posters and videos showcase the achievements and experiences of the Party's cause, and the country under Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. This is the fifth in the series.

Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China in 2012, the People's Liberation Army Air Force has seen tremendous developments, especially in terms of weaponry.
Photographer Wan Quan has witnessed these developments. As an enthusiast of military and aviation photography, he has been to most of the aviation shows at home and abroad where the PLA Air Force has appeared, recording the developments in his photos.
"I'm lucky to be a fan of the PLA Air Force," Wan said. "I cherish any opportunity to record its achievements with my camera."
