Musee d'Orsay's largest China exhibition to open in Shanghai


The Musee d'Orsay in Paris will bring its largest-ever China exhibition to the Museum of Art Pudong (MAP) in Shanghai on June 19, exclusively showcasing over 100 authentic masterpieces by renowned artists like Vincent van Gogh, Claude Monet, Paul Gauguin and Pierre Auguste Renoir.
As the only global stop, the exhibition themed Paths to Modernity: Masterpieces from the Musee d'Orsay, Paris, will feature iconic works from the 1840s to the early 20th century, focusing on its famous impressionist and post-impressionist pieces.
The exhibition will present milestone masterpieces, including van Gogh's Bedroom in Arles and Self-portrait, Jean-Fran?ois Millet's The Gleaners and Gauguin's Tahitian Women on the Beach, along with works by Monet, Paul Cezanne and Edgar Degas, offering a comprehensive panorama of the key transition from classical to modern art.
