The 2025 Hulunbuir Summer Grassland Tourism Season and the Xin Barga Left Banner Nomadic Migration events launched on June 14 at the Guribansaihan Summer Camp.
The opening ceremony featured ethnic performances, a mini Naadam fair, and tastings of Mongolian cuisine. A tourism cooperation agreement was also signed between local cooperatives and travel agencies from Hailar, Manzhouli, and Arxan, paving the way for broader regional tourism development.
Guribansaihan, located in the transition zone between mountainous and meadow grasslands, means "land of beautiful mountains, waters, and grasslands". It is a natural summer pasture for local herders of Handagai township. Each June, herders from the two pastoral villages of Nuomuhanburide and Bayinburide migrate here with over 20,000 livestock for a four-month grazing season.

Xin Barga Left Banner is advancing cultural and tourism integration by utilizing its unique nomadic culture. A highlight is the curated "Nomadic Journey with Guribansaihan" route, which offers a 16-kilometer driving tour that allows visitors to experience traditional nomadic life, including ox-cart migrations, horseback riding, and archery.
The summer camp uses mobile yurts to host immersive tourism activities that blend pastoral life with educational tours and specialty product sales. So far, 24 tour groups have been booked by agencies from cities including Beijing and Shenzhen.
