Chongqing zoo keeps animals cool to beat summer heat

During the recent scorching summer days, the animals at the Chongqing Locajoy Theme Park in Chongqing's Yongchuan district found relief from the heat thanks to the thoughtful care of their keepers.
The zoo staff prepared juicy, ripe watermelons for a variety of animals, including sika and Chinese water deer, African elephants, black bears, chimpanzees, and black-capped capuchins.
Multiple cooling methods are employed to ensure the park's inhabitants are comfortable. Regular showers are provided, and cooling pools are available for the animals to relax in. Outdoor enclosures are equipped with spray hoses and sunshades, while indoor areas are furnished with air conditioners.
Additionally, special medications are carefully incorporated into their meals, guaranteeing the well-being of the animals throughout the season.
