Macao's summer arts season has seen the launch of a major exhibition.

The "Art Macao: Macao International Art Biennale 2025" officially opened, with the unveiling of Hello China, Hello Macao — The Odyssey of Jingdezhen Porcelain: A Heritage Voyage from Macao to the World at Wynn Palace on Friday.

The exhibition, running through to Oct 19 with free public admission, features both a digital and physical art showcase. Visitors can explore a 360-degree immersive digital experience that re-creates the history of ceramics, the Maritime Silk Road's connection to Macao, and imperial kiln masterpieces from the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911).

One of the highlights is Peace Dove, an inaugural national gift designed by renowned Chinese artist and educator Chang Shana. Also on display are works by over 30 national and contemporary craft masters, including Lu Ru, Ning Gang, Liu Wei, Huang Jingzang, and Liu Wenbin.

"This exhibition is not only a cultural feast presented by Wynn Macau but also a pioneering initiative under the 'government-enterprise collaboration' model to promote Chinese culture innovatively," said Leong Wai Man, president of the Cultural Affairs Bureau of the Macao SAR Government.

Leong expressed hope that the exhibition would serve as a springboard for future collaborations. "We hope to take today's exhibition as a starting point to continue working together on the broad platform of 'Art Macao', collaboratively exploring pathways for Chinese culture to reach the world and co-creating an artistic stage where diverse cultures coexist harmoniously," she said.

Chang, who serves as chief aesthetic adviser for the exhibition, donated Peace Dove to Wynn.

Linda Chen, president, vice-chairman and executive director of Wynn Macau, Limited, said: "This exhibition offers residents and tourists a brand-new perspective, featuring a 360-degree immersive experience of the beauty of imperial kiln treasures from the Qing Dynasty."

Han Xingwen, general manager of Jiangxi Media Group, emphasized the cultural partnership between the two regions: "The exhibition deeply integrates Jiangxi's advantages in cultural resources with Macao's role as an international communication hub, marking a new starting point and significant milestone for digital cultural cooperation."

As the first flagship project under "Wynn Culture", the exhibition has also been included in the program of "Culture City of East Asia 2025 — Macao, China".
