Mavericks tie Spurs for West's best record

Shareef Abdur-Rahim scored 18 points and Brad Miller had 12 points and 12
rebounds, but Sacramento dropped to a season-worst six games below .500 with its
ninth loss in 16 home games.
Portland outscored Sacramento 30-15 in the second quarter of a meeting of the
Western Conference's two worst teams. Dixon hit two 3-pointers in his second
highest-scoring game of the season.
The Kings played again without guard Bonzi Wells, who will be out at least
three weeks with a torn muscle in his groin. Kevin Martin and rookie Francisco
Garcia managed just 10 points apiece in his absence.
Mike Bibby also had another rough game, scoring 13 points on 5-of-15 shooting
along with nine assists. The Kings, who lost to Dallas on Friday, are just 3-9
in December.
