土耳其全國性抗議游行
在土耳其最大城市伊斯坦布爾、首都安卡拉、愛琴海沿岸城市伊茲密爾、地中海城市安塔利亞等11個城市，數千名抗議者走上街頭并高呼反政府口號。警方對抗議者使用了催淚瓦斯、橡皮子彈和高壓水槍，抗議者則用鞭炮和石塊還擊，有的人還在街道設置路障。
尼日利亞一中學遭血洗
當地時間2014年2月25日，尼日利亞安全部隊宣布，疑為該國伊斯蘭極端組織“博科圣地”的武裝分子當日襲擊了約貝州的一所學校，開槍并揮刀殺死了正在宿舍中睡覺的43人。受襲的聯邦政府學院位于約貝州的布尼亞迪鎮，在該校就讀的學生從11歲到18歲不等。
