根據10日披露的國務院機構改革和職能轉變方案，國務院將組建國家新聞出版廣播電影電視總局，促進新聞出版廣播影視業繁榮發展。方案提出，將新聞出版總署、廣電總局的職責整合，組建國家新聞出版廣播電影電視總局。

The new State Administration of Press Publication, Radio, Film and Television will supervise the related organizations, the content and quality of their products and manage copyright.

新成立的國家新聞出版廣播電影電視總局的主要職責是，統籌規劃新聞出版廣播電影電視事業產業發展，監督管理新聞出版廣播影視機構和業務以及出版物、廣播影視節目的內容和質量，負責著作權管理等。

文中的State Administration of Press Publication, Radio, Film and Television就是指“國家新聞出版廣播電影電視總局”，整合了原來的the General Administration of Press and Publication, or GAPP（新聞出版總署）和the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television, or SARFT（廣播電影電視總局）。

新華社記者從十二屆全國人大一次會議秘書處獲悉，國務院機構改革和職能轉變方案擬作一處修改，將“國家新聞出版廣播電影電視總局”改為“國家新聞出版廣電總局”。
