The public prosecution against Bo Xilai shows the clear-cut stance and strong determination of the Communist Party of China (CPC) to root out corruption, according to a commentary of the People's Daily.

《人民日?qǐng)?bào)》評(píng)論文章稱，對(duì)薄熙來(lái)提起公訴表明了中國(guó)共產(chǎn)黨反對(duì)腐敗的鮮明立場(chǎng)和堅(jiān)定決心。

Public prosecution（公訴）指人民檢察院（People’s Procuratorate）對(duì)犯罪嫌疑人的犯罪行為(criminal activity)向人民法院提出控告，要求法院通過(guò)審判確定犯罪事實(shí)、懲罰犯罪人的訴訟活動(dòng)。濟(jì)南市人民檢察院起訴書（indictment）指控薄熙來(lái)涉嫌受賄（taking bribes）、貪污（embezzlement）、濫用職權(quán)(abuse of power)犯罪。
