Liangjiang initiates green land protection activity

An administrative inspection detachment of the Chongqing Liangjiang New Area launched an activity on June 25 calling for people’s support for urban landscaping.
The activity has adopted the slogan "protect our green space and build our green home".
The detachment publicized the concept in the area's communities, hospitals, schools and enterprises including the Zhaomu Mountain Forest Park and the eight streets in the Liangjiang New Area.
The work team used various channels such as giving out leaflets, brochures and questionnaires and playing related tapes to collect people's advice on green lands protection in Chongqing.
Chongqing's regulations governing urban gardening already forbid spoiling trees, trampling the grass, barbecuing, picnicking, camping without permission and dumping refuse in a park; any violator of the above rules is punished accordingly.
