2025 Asian Dancesport Festival wraps up in Wuxi


The 2025 World DanceSport Federation (WDSF) Asian Dancesport Festival came to a spectacular close at the Taihu International Expo Center in Wuxi on July 20. The event drew nearly 4,000 dancers from 45 countries and regions, making it a true celebration of movement and culture.
The spotlight on the final day was the WDSF GrandSlam Standard Adult 2025, where six elite pairs delivered stunning performances in a fierce battle for the crown. In the end, Romania's Rares Cojoc and Andreea Matei stood out with their exceptional technique, powerful stage presence, and unique interpretation, becoming the first Romanian couple to win a GrandSlam title.
Chinese dancers also delivered impressive performances. The much-anticipated duo of Du Yujun from Wuxi and her dance partner Yan Bangbang secured third place in the WDSF GrandSlam Latin Adult after six rounds and nine hours of intense competition on July 19. They ranked just behind runners-up Guillem Pascual and Llles Diandra-Aniela from Spain as well as champions Charles-Guillaume Schmitt and Elena Salikhova from France.
