Katy Perry is coming to Hainan in November

American pop star Katy Perry is scheduled to perform in Haikou, Hainan province, on Nov 29 as the final stop of her Lifetimes tour in China.
The show at Haikou Wuyuan River Sports Stadium is among her first shows on the Chinese mainland in nearly a decade. It follows her scheduled performances in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province, and Shanghai.
The tour is Perry's first global tour in seven years. It is supporting her seventh studio album, 143.
Meanwhile, American rapper Travis Scott will bring his Circus Maximus Tour to Sanya on Nov 1, adding to the province's growing lineup of high-profile concerts.
The island province has increasingly leveraged major music events to drive tourism, including Ye's (formerly Kanye West) listening parties last September, which drew nearly 80,000 attendees and generated an estimated 730 million yuan ($100 million) in tourism revenue.
Local statistics showed that over 96 percent of ticket buyers for Ye's first performance in Haikou traveled from outside Hainan.
These performances align with Hainan's broader plans to position the island as a hub for international entertainment and sports.
